Challenge: Write about superstitions
I love my superstitions
They keep me safe all day.
They make my life worth living
They protect me, work or play.
I’ve lots of superstitions,
I can hardly count them all.
They protect me everywhere I go,
They save from every fall.
Whene’er I see a magpie
An umbrella, a black cat
My superstitions help me.
Now what do you think of that?
When I’m afraid of ladders,
When I cross on the stairs,
I touch my very own piece of wood,
It drives away all cares.
I love my superstitions,
They make my life worthwhile.
And if you have some more for me
I’ll take them, with a smile.
And when at last, I’m going,
And I’m taking my last breath,
I’ll cross my fingers, touch some wood
And I’ll be safe in death.
